Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall (Monday, February 26, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (26/2/2024) at 2:33 PM WIB, out of 20 commodities, 16 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, shallots, bulk cooking oil, broiler chicken, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, iodized fine salt, pure beef, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel increased the most by Rp480 (1.31%) to Rp37,180 per kg. The price of iodized fine salt decreased the most by Rp70 (0.6%) to Rp11,570 per kg.
