Banten Region Food Prices Today: Chili Prices Up, Rice Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (February 12, 2025) at 13:18 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 14 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, packaged wheat flour, premium rice, packaged cooking oil, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, mackerel, skipjack tuna, iodized fine salt, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies experienced the highest price increase, up Rp1,746 (3.21%) to Rp56,190 per kg. SPHP rice saw the largest price decrease, down Rp4,793 (28.07%) to Rp12,280 per kg.
