Latest Food Prices in East Java: Chili Prices Up, Buffalo Meat Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (15/11/2025) at 12:46 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 11 commodities saw an increase and 14 commodities saw a decrease.

Commodities with price increases include mackerel, consumption salt, garlic bulbs, packaged wheat flour, and Minyakita (a brand of cooking oil).

Meanwhile, prices for several commodities such as broiler eggs, fresh buffalo meat (local), frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad), large red chilies, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili saw the highest jump of Rp477 (1.89%) to Rp25,691 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad) experienced the deepest drop of Rp120,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
