Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) has compiled the total state losses based on the sectors affected by corruption cases in 2022.
The largest state loss was in the trade sector, amounting to Rp20.9 trillion. This sector accounted for 10 cases in 2022.
Second was the transportation sector, with losses reaching Rp8.82 trillion. There were 12 corruption cases in this sector in 2022.
Third was the natural resources sector, resulting in state losses of Rp7 trillion. A total of 35 cases were recorded in this sector throughout 2022.
Fourth was the agrarian sector, with losses of Rp2.66 trillion. A significant number of cases, 31, were recorded.
Corruption cases in the village sector, with the highest number of cases in 2022 (155), resulted in state losses of Rp381 billion.
"Based on ICW records, since the government allocated village funds in 2015, there has been a consistent increase in the trend of corruption cases until 2022," wrote ICW in its report.
Note that data on corruption cases in the judicial sector in 2022 is not yet available.
