Latest West Java Food Prices: Onion Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (8/9/2024) at 14.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, garlic bulbs, milkfish, red chilies, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, farmer-level corn, curly red chilies, medium rice, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp200 (0.82%) to Rp24,570 per kg. Curly red chilies experienced the largest price drop of Rp290 (0.85%) to Rp33,670 per kg.
