Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Onions Up, Chilies Down (Wednesday, April 17, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (17/4/2024) at 14:44 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, shallots, garlic bulbs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, premium rice, milkfish, curly red chilies, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp2,750 (5.66%) to Rp51,310 per kg. Curly red chilies saw the lowest price decrease of Rp2,700 (7.95%) to Rp31,280 per kg.
