Current Indonesian Food Prices: Onions Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (27/11/2024) at 2 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 2 commodities increased in price and 18 commodities decreased.

The commodities that increased in price are pure beef and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium-grain rice, bulk wheat flour, red chilies, premium rice, and shallots have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase of Rp310 (0.8%) to Rp39,140 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most, by Rp150 (2.48%) to Rp5,900 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Indonesia according to Bapanas on November 27, 2024, at 2 PM WIB.
