Latest Jambi Food Prices: Red Chili Up, Buffalo Meat Down

Several food commodity prices in Jambi today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (September 18, 2025) at 08:43 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 9 saw price increases and 15 saw decreases.

Commodities with price increases include premium rice, Minyakita, imported dried soybean seeds, bulk cooking oil, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices for several commodities such as consumption sugar, local fresh buffalo meat, bulk wheat flour, broiler eggs, and large red chili decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Curly red chili recorded the highest increase of Rp1,702 (2.77%) to Rp63,188 per kg. Conversely, the price of frozen imported buffalo meat experienced the sharpest decrease of Rp12,500 (12.2%) to Rp90,000 per kg.

7. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp40,684 per kg (up 2.09%)
8. Mackerel: Rp37,333 per kg (down 3.73%)
9. Shallots: Rp36,056 per kg (down 0.14%)
10. Garlic Bulb: Rp33,789 per kg (up 0.23%)
