Sumatera Barat's Food Prices Today: Chicken Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (2/11/2024) at 12:15 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, shallots, premium rice, bulk cooking oil, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, skipjack tuna, farmer-level corn, mackerel, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken prices increased the most, by Rp1,890 (5.23%) to Rp38,010 per kg. Red chili prices decreased the most sharply, by Rp9,100 (21.38%) to Rp33,470 per kg.
