Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (21/7/2024) at 13.25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, medium rice, bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as garlic bulbs, red chilies, dry soybean (import), granulated sugar, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) saw the highest price increase of Rp300 (2.51%) to Rp12,260 per kg. Red chili peppers experienced the largest price decrease of Rp1,000 (1.61%) to Rp61,000 per kg.
