West Java Food Prices Friday (June 28th): Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (28/6/2024) at 12.40 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), granulated sugar, milkfish, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), bulk cooking oil, iodized fine salt, medium rice, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of red chili peppers increased the most, by Rp2,510 (6.22%) to Rp42,880 per kg. The price of iodized fine salt decreased the most sharply, by Rp600 (5.49%) to Rp10,330 per kg.
