East Java Food Price Update Today: Chicken Price Up, Salt Price Down (Thursday, March 7, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (7/3/2024) at 13.01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, dry soybean (import), shallots, pure beef, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, red chili peppers, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), mackerel, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of skipjack tuna increased the most by Rp220 (0.73%) to Rp30,500 per kg. The price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most by Rp150 (1.98%) to Rp7,420 per kg.
