Today's Food Prices in Central Java: Onions Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (23/10/2024) at 14.04 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are mackerel, broiler chicken, simple packaged cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, milkfish, red chilies, medium rice, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp300 (1.14%) to Rp26,540 per kg. Red chilies experienced the largest price drop of Rp350 (1.64%) to Rp20,990 per kg.
