Today's Food Prices February 03 in South Sumatra: Shallots Up, Red Chilies Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

According to data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (February 3, 2026) at 18:02 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 1 commodity increased and 6 commodities decreased.

The only commodity with an increased price was shallots.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken meat, red cayenne pepper, Honan garlic, large red chili, and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp1,167 (3.01%) to Rp40,000 per kg. Meanwhile, curly red chili prices experienced the deepest drop of Rp8,333 (18.52%) to Rp36,667 per kg.

5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp36,417 per kg (down 1.35%)
6. Honan Garlic: Rp36,250 per kg (down 0.91%)
7. Large Red Chili: Rp35,833 per kg (down 0.23%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,167 per kg (down 0.91%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp19,375 per liter (stable)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,000 per liter (stable)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,250 per kg (stable)
