Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Egg Prices Up, Salt Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to be lower than yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (October 9, 2025) at 13:55 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, milkfish, garlic bulbs, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as large red chili, premium rice, consumption sugar, red onion, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices saw the highest increase of Rp262 (0.93%) to Rp28,482 per kg. Meanwhile, consumption salt prices experienced the deepest drop of Rp203 (1.84%) to Rp10,810 per kg.

9. Milkfish: Rp28,482 per kg (up 0.93%)
10. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,404 per kg (up 0.84%)
