Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Salt Up, Chilies Down (Wednesday, March 6, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (6/3/2024) at 11.07 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, dry soybean (import), pure beef, iodized fine salt, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, premium rice, chicken eggs, red chilies, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was bulk wheat flour, up by Rp270 (2.76%) to Rp10,050 per kg. The commodity with the lowest price decrease was skipjack tuna, down by Rp650 (1.97%) to Rp32,330 per kg.
