Current Food Prices in East Java: Chili Prices Rise, Egg Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (23/12/2024) at 15.32 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 16 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, shallots, red chilies, mackerel, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies surged the highest by Rp2,430 (6.99%) to Rp37,200 per kg. The price of skipjack tuna, however, decreased the most sharply by Rp700 (2.36%) to Rp28,900 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in East Java according to Bapanas on December 23, 2024, at 15.32 WIB.

9. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,610 per kg (down 0.37%)
