Today's Food Prices February 27 in Central Java: Cooking Oil, Bird's Eye Chili and Egg Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in Central Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (February 27, 2026) at 15:17 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities that saw price increases include broiler chicken eggs, broiler chicken meat, medium rice, wheat flour, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as imported soybeans, Honan garlic, curly red chili, and red onion decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili prices jumped the highest by Rp2,136 (2.93%) to Rp75,151 per kg. Curly red chili prices decreased the most by Rp467 (1.39%) to Rp33,057 per kg.

5. Large Red Chili: Rp35,069 per kg (unchanged)
6. Curly Red Chili: Rp33,057 per kg (down 1.39%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp32,425 per kg (down 0.16%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,860 per kg (up 0.01%)
9. Packaged Premium Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,751 per liter (up 0.09%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp17,909 per liter (up 0.02%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp16,941 per kg (up 0.03%)
