Current Food Prices in West Java: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (24/10/2024) at 09.44 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased in price and 14 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price are SHP rice, premium rice, shallots, iodized fine salt, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, granulated sugar, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp180 (1.76%) to Rp10,390 per kg. Red chilies experienced the steepest price drop of Rp1,540 (5.56%) to Rp26,160 per kg.
