Food Prices Today in South Sumatra Region: Salt, Onion, and Rice Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (25/9/2025) at 13.22 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 7 increased and 14 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include milkfish, pure beef, packaged cooking oil, large red chili, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as garlic, dried soybean (imported), shallots, curly red chili, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

The price of large red chili rose the highest by Rp674 (1.2%) to Rp57,074 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red bird''s eye chili dropped the most by Rp2,288 (5.16%) to Rp42,045 per kg.

5. Mackerel: Rp38,333 per kg (down 1.12%)
6. Broiler Chicken: Rp37,970 per kg (up 0.42%)
7. Shallots: Rp37,303 per kg (down 0.42%)
8. Garlic: Rp34,182 per kg (down 0.85%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,793 per kg (up 0.73%)
10. Milkfish: Rp28,418 per kg (up 0.36%)
11. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,615 per kg (down 0.79%)
