The agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector ranks first. In 2023, this sector contributed the largest share to the GRDP, reaching Rp1.34 trillion, a growth of 2.91%.
The second largest contributor to the GRDP in Sula Islands Regency is the wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles sector, which grew by 3.26% to Rp432.4 billion. This is followed by the public administration, defense, and compulsory social security sector, which grew by 0.37% to Rp420.35 billion.
Finally, rounding out the top five GRDP contributors in Sula Islands Regency is the manufacturing industry, with a value of Rp137.3 billion. According to BPS, this sector grew by 3.06% over the past year from the previous achievement of Rp125.79 billion.
