Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Oil Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (September 20, 2025) at 3:06 PM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 8 increased and 14 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include curly red chili, premium rice, kembung fish, tongkol fish, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as fresh buffalo meat (local), pure beef, broiler eggs, bulk cooking oil, and broiler chicken meat decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Red bird''s eye chili commodity surged the highest by Rp2,428 (4.84%) to Rp52,639 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish price dropped the sharpest by Rp5,000 (10.0%) to Rp45,000 per kg.
