Current Food Prices in Yogyakarta: Prices of Sugar, Onions, and Eggs Drop

Prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (19/12/2024) at 14.38 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are medium-grain rice, dry soybean (import), Indian mackerel, fine iodized salt, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, granulated sugar, red chili, bulk wheat flour, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Fine iodized salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp560 (5.03%) to Rp11,690 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili saw the sharpest price drop of Rp2,500 (6.2%) to Rp37,820 per kg.
