Latest Indonesian Regional Food Prices: Chili Prices Up, Egg Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (31/12/2024) at 10:51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, dry soybean (import), premium rice, shallots, and garlic cloves.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, bulk cooking oil, granulated sugar, SPHP rice, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp1,210 (2.06%) to Rp59,810 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most sharply by Rp110 (1.8%) to Rp6,000 per kg.
