Today's Food Price Update in West Java: Sugar, Oil, and Onion Prices Increase (Monday, December 25, 2023)

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (25/12/2023) at 11:21 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, iodized fine salt, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, pure beef, packaged (non-bulk) wheat flour, Indian mackerel, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp500 (4.75%), reaching Rp11,030 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level saw the lowest decrease of Rp310 (4.95%), reaching Rp5,950 per kg.

6. Milkfish: Rp37,240 per kg (down 1.3%)
7. Garlic Bulb: Rp36,220 per kg (up 0.5%)
8. Chicken Meat: Rp34,420 per kg (down 0.09%)
9. Shallots: Rp33,260 per kg (down 3.48%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,570 per kg (up 1.81%)
