Red Chili Prices Highest in These 10 Provinces (Thursday, November 16, 2023)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of red chili peppers (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces reaching Rp 94,680 per kg, as of Thursday, November 16, 2023. Overall, the average this week increased compared to last week's average of Rp 83,570 per kg.

The daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets in East Nusa Tenggara was the highest in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 149,900 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of red chili peppers in this province is higher; previously recorded at Rp 69,900 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in South Kalimantan, the price of red chili peppers was sold at Rp 119,900 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of red chili peppers in Maluku was Rp 118,000 per kg, Bangka Belitung Islands Rp 111,950 per kg, and Gorontalo Rp 108,750 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 15 provinces with red chili pepper sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for red chili peppers are East Java, West Sulawesi, and South Sulawesi.
