Food Prices Today in West Sumatra: Salt and Oil Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today were observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (September 15, 2025) at 08:02 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases were garlic bulb, pure beef, broiler eggs, packaged wheat flour, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, skipjack tuna, red onion, premium rice, and red bird''s eye chili decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Curly red chili recorded the highest price increase of Rp14,597 (20.02%) to Rp87,500 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of large red chili experienced the sharpest drop of Rp64,583 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.
