Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Rice and Chili Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (8/11/2024) at 12:09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 17 commodities increased in price and 4 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, premium rice, whole garlic cloves, chicken eggs, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken meat, fine iodized salt, SPHP rice, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,320 (4.13%) to Rp33,250 per kg. Red chilies saw the sharpest price drop of Rp2,030 (5.25%) to Rp36,630 per kg.
