Latest Bali Region Food Prices: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (17/6/2024) at 16.37 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, kembung fish, bandeng fish, red chilies, and tongkol fish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, broiler chicken eggs, farmer-level corn, shallots, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp9,230 (28.23%) to Rp41,930 per kg. Iodized fine salt saw the steepest price drop, falling Rp1,860 (15.86%) to Rp9,870 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 20 food commodities in Bali according to Bapanas on June 17, 2024, at 16.37 WIB.

5. Bandeng Fish: Rp40,000 per kg (up 4.19%)
6. Kembung Fish: Rp39,690 per kg (up 2.64%)
7. Garlic Bulb: Rp36,770 per kg (up 1.55%)
8. Shallots: Rp31,580 per kg (down 4.82%)
9. Tongkol Fish: Rp30,000 per kg (up 7.53%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,990 per kg (down 2.95%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,500 per kg (up 0.23%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,500 per liter (down 2.02%)
