Indonesia's Food Prices on Tuesday (8/4): Onion Prices Rise, Red Chili Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (8/4/2025) at 15.03 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 20 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are livestock-level corn, packaged cooking oil, bulk cooking oil, packaged wheat flour, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, Indian mackerel, whole garlic cloves, large red chilies, and table salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Livestock-level corn prices surged the highest by Rp63 (1.02%) to Rp6,254 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices decreased the most sharply by Rp1,671 (2.97%) to Rp54,676 per kg.
