Latest Food Prices in Yogyakarta: Chili and Onion Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (30/5/2024) at 14:15 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include Indian mackerel, broiler chicken, shallots, skipjack tuna, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium-grain rice, bulk wheat flour, simple packaged cooking oil, premium rice, and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp350 (0.77%) to Rp45,740 per kg. Medium-grain rice saw the lowest price decrease, down by Rp100 (0.79%) to Rp12,590 per kg.
