Today's Food Prices (06/3) in Central Java: Oil Rises, Bird's Eye Chili Falls

Today, the prices of several food commodities in Central Java were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (March 6, 2026) at 15:17 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 7 decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are imported soybeans, broiler chicken meat, premium packaged palm cooking oil, beef rump, and bulk palm cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as Honan garlic, curly red chili, red bird's eye chili, large red chili, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk palm cooking oil saw the highest jump of Rp46 (0.26%) to Rp18,002 per liter. The price of red bird's eye chili fell the most by Rp885 (1.07%) to Rp81,457 per kg.

3. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp39,568 per kg (up 0.08%)
4. Shallots: Rp39,424 per kg (down 0.67%)
5. Large Red Chili: Rp34,564 per kg (down 0.61%)
6. Curly Red Chili: Rp33,614 per kg (down 0.45%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp32,454 per kg (down 0.07%)
8. Broiler Eggs: Rp29,486 per kg (down 0.09%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,780 per liter (up 0.02%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,002 per liter (up 0.26%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp16,987 per kg (up 0.04%)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,674 per liter (unchanged)
13. Premium Rice: Rp14,705 per kg (unchanged)
14. Medium Rice: Rp13,224 per kg (down 0.02%)
15. Wheat Flour: Rp11,706 per kg (unchanged)
16. Imported Soybeans: Rp10,558 per kg (up 0.04%)
