Latest Food Prices in Banten: Red Chili Up, Buffalo Meat Down

Prices of several food commodities in Banten today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (1/10/2025) at 10:25 AM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 19 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices were curly red chili, Minyakita, bulk wheat flour, broiler chicken eggs, and fresh local buffalo meat.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as pure beef, red bird's eye chili, frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad), shallots, and packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili saw the highest increase of Rp2,342 (4.2%) to Rp58,125 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish prices fell the sharpest by Rp3,620 (9.82%) to Rp33,250 per kg.
