10 Provinces with the Highest Prices for Low-Quality Rice (Type II) (Friday, February 4, 2022)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of Rp 12,010 per kg for low-quality grade II rice in modern markets across several provinces as of Friday, February 4, 2022. Overall, the average price this week increased compared to last week's average of Rp 11,940 per kg.

The price of low-quality grade II rice in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the highest in Indonesia at Rp 13,300 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of low-quality grade II rice in this province remained unchanged. The highest price ever recorded in this region was Rp 17,350 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in Bangka Belitung Islands Province, low-quality grade II rice was sold at Rp 12,800 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Following in third place, the price of low-quality grade II rice in North Sulawesi was Rp 12,800 per kg, North Sumatra Rp 12,500 per kg, and West Sumatra Rp 12,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, seven provinces had low-quality grade II rice prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest prices for low-quality grade II rice were Central Java, East Java, and Jambi.
