Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Rice, Chili, and Egg Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (19/4/2024) at 15.33 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, whole garlic cloves, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, dry soybean (import), curly red chilies, chicken eggs, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp10,100 (19.47%) to Rp61,980 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of Indian mackerel saw the lowest decrease of Rp12,660 (40.69%) to Rp18,450 per kg.
