Food, Beverage, and Tobacco Inflation in Tanjung in February: -0.55%

Food component prices contributing to inflation in Tanjung decreased by -0.55% in February. This figure is lower than the previous month's 1.02%. Among the five inflation groups measured in this region, the food, beverage, and tobacco group contributed -0.44% to inflation in Tanjung.

The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) reported that the consumer price index (CPI) for food, beverages, and tobacco in Tanjung was at 104.11 in February 2024, lower than the previous month's 104.69.

Compared to the same month last year, food, beverage, and tobacco inflation has decreased by 14.21% (year-on-year/YoY). Compared to the beginning of the year, prices of components contributing to inflation in Tanjung have experienced a -0.55% growth (year-to-date/YTD).

Compared to 11 other groups, this inflation group ranked fifth.

National inflation (general) in February 2024 was 0.37%, down from the previous month (month-to-month/M-to-M). Compared to the beginning of the year, national general inflation reached 0.37% (YTD), and compared to February 2023, inflation decreased by 7.52% (YoY).
