The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded four districts/cities in Central Kalimantan with a weekly average vaccination rate above the provincial average of 1,032.22 doses as of Sunday, May 22, 2022.
The three top districts/cities with average vaccination rates above 1,000 doses are East Kotawaringin, Katingan, and Kapuas, with 1,983 doses, 1,302 doses, and 1,254 doses respectively.
East Kotawaringin recorded the highest weekly average vaccination rate in Central Kalimantan with 1,983 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 383,900 doses have been used. Based on the national dashboard, the region has achieved a 76.1% full vaccination rate.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in 16 days. This calculation is based on the remaining stock of 32,102 doses and the highest weekly vaccine usage in Central Kalimantan.
Following East Kotawaringin is Katingan with 1,302 doses. The vaccine stock in this district will run out in 11 days, based on the remaining 14,555 doses.
Next, Kapuas has a weekly average vaccination rate of 1,254 doses and a full vaccination rate of 81.22%; Seruyan has a weekly average vaccination rate of 1,057 doses and a full vaccination rate of 82.32%; and West Kotawaringin has a weekly average vaccination rate of 992 doses and a full vaccination rate of 96.07%.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Central Lampung, with average vaccination rates of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce transmission by consistently wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
