Prevalence of Food Consumption Inadequacy in Tanah Datar Reaches 9.1% in 2024

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra, was 9.1% in 2024.

This figure decreased by 0.44% from the previous year''s 9.54%, while over the last 5 years, it increased by 2.79%.

The average PoU in Indonesia was 8.27% in 2024. This means that the PoU in Tanah Datar Regency is higher than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy needed for a normal, active, and healthy life.
