A total of 130,472 suspicious financial transaction reports (LTKM) were compiled throughout 2023. This was revealed by the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) on January 19, 2024.
The majority of these reports, 97.07% of the total in 2023, originated from DKI Jakarta.
On a monthly basis, LTKM reports from DKI Jakarta consistently exceeded 5,000. February 2023 saw the highest number, with 14,359 reports.
The number of reports from DKI Jakarta is significantly higher than other provinces: 1.14% in Riau Islands; 0.29% in Central Java; 0.27% in West Java; 0.23% in Lampung; and 0.99% in other provinces.
Jakarta's position as the province with the most reports of suspicious financial transactions is not a new phenomenon. Previously, the highest number of LTKM reports were also reported in Jakarta in 2022.

Up to December 2023, a total of 528 reporters were recorded, encompassing various industry groups, professions, and individuals.
The majority of reporters were from the non-bank category (336 reporters), followed by banks (133 reporters), and procurement of goods and services (PBJ) (49 reporters).
PPATK detailed that non-bank reporters included foreign exchange traders (money changers), money transfer operators, insurance companies, financing companies, securities companies, investment managers, and others.
The highest number of reported transactions originated from banks, totaling 6.86 million suspicious transactions. This was followed by non-banks (2.22 million transactions), rural banks (480 transactions), PBJ (408 transactions), and professions (35 transactions).
