The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded four districts/cities in North Maluku with a weekly average vaccination rate above the average of 204 doses as of Tuesday, June 7, 2022.
The average vaccination rate of the top three districts/cities with figures above 300 doses are Ternate City, North Halmahera, and West Halmahera, with values of 442 doses, 315 doses, and 292 doses respectively.
Ternate City recorded the highest weekly average vaccination rate in North Maluku with 442 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 207,570 doses have been used. Based on the national dashboard data recapitulation, the complete vaccination rate in this region has reached 60.92 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this city will run out in 34 days. This remaining usage period is calculated based on the available stock of 15,446 doses and the highest weekly vaccine usage in North Maluku.
Next is North Halmahera, which recorded a weekly average vaccination rate of 315 doses, lower than the previous week. North Halmahera is ranked second. With this average vaccine usage, the vaccine stock in this region will be sufficient for 183 days. The remaining vaccine stock currently amounts to 57,755 doses.
Still in the top five, besides the two regions above, are: the weekly average vaccination rate in West Halmahera at 292 doses and a complete vaccination rate of 39.47 percent; the weekly average vaccination rate in Central Halmahera at 207 doses and a complete vaccination rate of 112.44 percent; and the weekly average vaccination rate in South Halmahera at 203 doses and a complete vaccination rate of 69.19 percent.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Central Lampung, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
