The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded four districts/cities in Southeast Sulawesi with a weekly average vaccination rate above the regional average, which currently stands at 436.44 doses as of Tuesday, April 26, 2022.
The average vaccination rate for the top three districts/cities, exceeding 1,000 doses, are Konawe Selatan (905 doses), Konawe (639 doses), and Kolaka (571 doses).
Konawe Selatan ranks first with a weekly average vaccination rate of 905 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 273,810 doses have been used. Based on the national dashboard recapitulation, the complete vaccination coverage in this region has reached 56.42 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in 26 days. This remaining usage period is calculated based on the available stock of 23,582 doses and the highest weekly vaccine usage in Southeast Sulawesi.
Following Konawe Selatan is Konawe in second place. Complete vaccination coverage in this district has reached 65.59 percent. Compared to the previous week, the weekly average vaccination rate in this district reached 639 doses. The available vaccine stock in this district will run out in 49 days. This remaining usage period is calculated from the remaining stock of 31,858 doses.
In addition to these two regions, Kolaka is also among the top five, with a weekly average vaccination rate of 571 doses. Complete vaccination coverage has reached 72.72 percent. Buton has a weekly average vaccination rate of 546 doses and complete vaccination coverage of 56.38 percent, while Wakatobi has a weekly average vaccination rate of 326 doses and complete vaccination coverage of 55.02 percent.
Outside of Java, some regions with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun (7,506 doses), Rokan Hulu (6,305 doses), and Lampung Tengah (6,083 doses).
Although Covid-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce Covid-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
