The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded three districts/cities in East Kalimantan with a weekly average vaccination rate above the provincial average of 1,938.71 doses as of Monday, June 20, 2022.
The three top districts/cities with average vaccination rates above 2,000 doses are Kutai Kartanegara, Samarinda City, and Kutai Timur, with 4,222 doses, 2,951 doses, and 2,217 doses respectively.
Kutai Kartanegara recorded the highest weekly average vaccination rate in East Kalimantan with 4,222 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 766,080 doses have been used. Based on the national dashboard data recapitulation, the complete vaccination rate in this region has reached 78.43 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out within the next 10 days. This remaining usage period is calculated based on the remaining stock of 44,526 doses and the highest weekly vaccine usage in East Kalimantan over the past week.
Samarinda City is next in line. The complete vaccination rate in this city has reached 89.59 percent. Compared to the previous week, the weekly average vaccination rate in this city reached 2,951 doses. Vaccination in this city is reported to be lower. Meanwhile, the daily average weekly vaccination statistics show only minor movement compared to the previous day.
Next is Kutai Timur with a weekly average vaccination rate of 2,217 doses and a complete vaccination rate of 86.22 percent; Kutai Barat with a weekly average vaccination rate of 1,410 doses and a complete vaccination rate of 96.11 percent; and Paser with a weekly average vaccination rate of 1,017 doses and a complete vaccination rate of 80.05 percent.
Some of the areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccination rates of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
