The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded three districts/cities in North Kalimantan with weekly average vaccinations above the average of 539.4 doses as of Saturday, May 28, 2022.
The three top districts/cities with an average of over 700 doses are Tarakan City, Nunukan, and Bulungan, with 966 doses, 840 doses, and 673 doses respectively.
Tarakan City ranks first with a weekly average vaccination of 966 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 363,740 doses have been used. Based on the national dashboard recapitulation, the complete vaccination rate in this region has reached 84.17 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this city will run out within the next 30 days. This remaining usage period is calculated based on the available stock of 29,412 doses, and vaccine usage is the highest in North Kalimantan.
Following Tarakan is Nunukan with 840 doses. Vaccination in this regency is reported to be lower. The daily average weekly vaccination statistics show no change compared to the previous day.
Then Bulungan, with a weekly average vaccination of 673 doses, has now achieved a complete vaccination coverage of 81.85 percent. Malinau has a weekly average vaccination of 137 doses and a complete vaccination coverage of 77.44 percent, while Tana Tidung has 81 doses and a complete vaccination coverage of 82.71 percent.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to participate in reducing COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
