Sidenreng Rappang Residents' Food Consumption Deficiency Figure Rises 6.25% in 2025

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reports that the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in Sidenreng Rappang Regency, South Sulawesi reached 6.25% in 2025.

This figure increased by 1.67% from the previous year's 4.58%, while over the last 5 years it has decreased by 3.37%.

Indonesia's average PoU in 2025 was 7.89%. This means that the PoU in Sidenreng Rappang Regency is lower than the national average.

According to the National Food Agency (Bapanas), PoU is a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy needed for a normal, active, and healthy life.

This indicator can be used as a tool to observe food and nutrition security conditions.

This means that residents of Sidenreng Rappang Regency who consume food but do not meet their energy needs account for less than 6.25% of the total population.
