Prevalence of Inadequate Food Consumption in West Waringin City Rises 0.41% in the Last Year

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the prevalence of undernourishment (PoU) in West Waringin City Regency, Central Kalimantan reached 6.84% in 2025.

This figure increased by 0.41% from the previous year's 6.43%, while in the last 5 years it decreased by 2.52%.

Indonesia's average PoU in 2025 was 7.89%. This means that the PoU in West Waringin City Regency is lower than the national average.

The National Food Agency (Bapanas) defines PoU as a condition where a person regularly consumes an insufficient amount of food to meet the energy needed for a normal, active, and healthy life.
