The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded three districts/cities in Riau with weekly average vaccinations above the provincial average of 3,240.67 doses as of Sunday, April 17, 2022.
The three top districts/cities with averages exceeding 4,000 doses are Rokan Hulu, Rokan Hilir, and Kampar, with 6,305 doses, 5,382 doses, and 4,135 doses respectively.
Rokan Hulu ranks first with a weekly average vaccination of 6,305 doses. Vaccine usage up to yesterday was recorded at 639,640 doses. In the national dashboard recapitulation, the complete vaccination rate in this region has reached 74.46 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in six days. This remaining usage time is calculated from the remaining stock of 39,306 doses and the highest vaccine usage in Riau over the last week.
Next is Rokan Hilir, which recorded a weekly average vaccination of 5,382 doses, lower than the previous week. Rokan Hilir is in second place. With this average vaccine usage, the vaccine stock in this region will be sufficient for eight days. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 43,694 doses.
Following is Kampar with a weekly average vaccination of 4,135 doses. Complete vaccination coverage has reached 65 percent. Indragiri Hilir has 3,184 doses and a complete vaccination rate of 74.42%, and Bengkalis has a weekly average vaccination of 2,489 doses and a complete vaccination rate of 75.43%.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
