Top 10 Regencies/Cities with the Highest Average Vaccination Rates in Central Kalimantan (Tuesday, May 17, 2022)

The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded four districts/cities in Central Kalimantan with a weekly average vaccination rate above the provincial average of 1,032.22 doses as of Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

The three top districts/cities with average vaccination rates above 1,000 doses are Kotawaringin Timur, Katingan, and Kapuas, with 1,983 doses, 1,302 doses, and 1,254 doses respectively.

Kotawaringin Timur ranks first with a weekly average vaccination rate of 1,983 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 383,900 doses have been used. Based on the national dashboard, the region has achieved 75.44% complete vaccination coverage.

According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in 16 days. This remaining usage period is calculated based on the remaining stock of 32,102 doses and the highest weekly vaccine usage in Central Kalimantan.

Next is Katingan, which recorded a weekly average vaccination rate of 1,302 doses, lower than the previous week. Katingan is ranked second. With this average vaccine usage, the vaccine stock in this region will last for 11 days. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 14,555 doses.

Also in the top five, besides the two regions above, are Kapuas with a weekly average vaccination rate of 1,254 doses and 80.87% complete vaccination coverage; Seruyan with 1,057 doses and 82.19% complete vaccination coverage; and Kotawaringin Barat with 992 doses and 95.88% complete vaccination coverage.

Some of the regions outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccination rates of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.

Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
