The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded one district/city in Riau Islands with a weekly average vaccination rate above the average, currently recorded at 1,179.43 doses as of Wednesday, March 30, 2022.
The average vaccination rate for the top three districts/cities with figures above 1,000 doses are Batam City, Karimun, and Tanjung Pinang City, with values of 5,369 doses, 960 doses, and 836 doses respectively.
Batam City recorded the highest weekly average vaccination rate in Riau Islands with 5,369 doses. Vaccine usage up to yesterday was recorded at 1.88 million doses. In the national dashboard recapitulation data, the achievement of complete vaccination in this region has reached 100.36 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this city will run out in the next 12 days. This remaining usage time is calculated based on the available stock of 65,920 doses and the highest vaccine usage in the last week in Riau Islands.
Next is Karimun, which recorded a weekly average vaccination rate of 960 doses, lower than the previous week. Karimun is ranked second. With the average vaccine usage, the vaccine stock in this region will be sufficient for the next 28 days. The remaining vaccine stock is currently 26,982 doses.
Then, the weekly average vaccination in Tanjung Pinang City is 836 doses and the achievement of complete vaccination is 91.89 percent; Bintan with 479 doses and 91.2% complete vaccination; and Natuna with 283 doses and 87.05% complete vaccination.
Areas outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
