The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded three districts/cities in Papua with weekly average vaccinations above the provincial average of 174.89 doses as of Monday, June 13, 2022.
The three top districts/cities with average vaccination figures above 300 doses are Mimika, Merauke, and Biak Numfor, with 548 doses, 357 doses, and 327 doses respectively.
Mimika recorded the highest weekly average vaccination in Papua with 548 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 203,420 doses have been used. Based on the national dashboard data recapitulation, the complete vaccination rate in this region has reached 67.79 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this district will run out in 110 days. This remaining usage period is calculated based on the remaining stock of 60,284 doses and the highest weekly vaccine usage in Papua.
Following Mimika is Merauke with 357 doses. The currently available vaccine stock is 25,036 doses. This stock is estimated to run out in 70 days.
Next is Biak Numfor with a weekly average vaccination of 327 doses. The complete vaccination coverage has reached 48.38 percent. Jayapura has a vaccination rate of 144 doses and a complete vaccination coverage of 60.29%, while Jayawijaya has a vaccination rate of 76 doses and a complete vaccination coverage of 13.24%.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccinations of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
