The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) notes that two regencies/cities in Bangka Belitung Islands Province have a weekly average vaccination rate above the provincial average, which currently stands at 964.29 doses as of Friday, June 10, 2022.
The average vaccination rate for the top three regencies/cities, all exceeding 1,000 doses, are Bangka with 2,073 doses, Pangkal Pinang City with 1,271 doses, and Belitung with 960 doses.
Bangka ranks first with a weekly average vaccination rate of 2,073 doses. As of yesterday, a total of 413,140 doses have been used. According to the national dashboard recapitulation, the complete vaccination rate in this region has reached 76.75 percent.
According to the Ministry of Health, the available vaccine stock in this regency will run out in the next 12 days. This remaining usage period is calculated based on the available stock of 25,091 doses, and vaccine usage is the highest in Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
Next is Pangkal Pinang City in second place. The complete vaccination rate in this city has reached 91.1 percent. Compared to the previous week, the weekly average vaccination rate in this city reached 1,271 doses. The available vaccine stock in this city will run out in the next 46 days. This remaining usage period is calculated based on the available stock of 59,068 doses.
Following this is Belitung with a weekly average vaccination rate of 960 doses and a complete vaccination rate of 90.44 percent; Bangka Barat with a weekly average vaccination rate of 825 doses and a complete vaccination rate of 79.28 percent; and Belitung Timur with a vaccination rate of 668 doses and a complete vaccination rate of 92.38 percent.
Some of the regions outside Java with the highest average vaccination rates include Simalungun, Rokan Hulu, and Lampung Tengah, with average vaccination rates of 7,506 doses, 6,305 doses, and 6,083 doses respectively.
Although COVID-19 transmission has decreased in some areas, the government urges everyone to help reduce COVID-19 transmission by always wearing masks, maintaining distance, and frequently washing hands with soap and running water. Avoiding crowds and reducing mobility also contribute to suppressing the spread of the coronavirus.
